Service Abbey Groups
Service Abbey Groups are an opportunity for ministry partners to use their gifts to serve the Kingdom of God through The Abbey. Scripture declares, "He reveals His secrets to His servants, the prophets." We believe that servanthood releases revelation in the life of the believer. When we serve one another and the Kingdom, our spiritual ears and eyes are opened to hear and see what God is saying and doing in our life and our world.
We also realize that relationships serve a purpose to advance the kingdom of God and that as we serve God together, He binds us together with "koininia", fellowship. Divine connections are forged as we experience God together in the activity of serving. "Iron sharpens iron. So is the face of a man with his friend." This statement from Proverbs describes a living process of how God uses relationships and the diversity of our gifting to challenge and shape our lives into His image. No one grows or matures in isolation! It is through the challenge of working alongside others with different giftings and perspectives that we are challenged to grow, accept others, empathize and express the Love of God. We experience God in Community.
We encourage all partners of The Abbey to participate in one serving group and one fellowship group to build relationships and activate their spiritual gifts to grow in Christ.
