The Bible talks about a spirit of “adoption” that God sends into our hearts, making us know we are no longer alone and can cry out, “Abba, Father,”–the Greek way of exclaiming “DADDY” to God! That word “Abba” is the root of the word “Abbey” and that fact points to exactly who we are—a group of people who are passionate about experiencing and exploring God’s amazing, loving Fatherhood to His children and creation in all its expressions!
We believe that this experience happens in the context of FAMILY and that each of us will find fulfillment, purpose and hope for our individual lives as we connect to God first, and then to each other in authentic community!
The “surprise” waiting for you at the throne of God is that no matter where you have roamed or what you have done, the judgment you might fear is not what you find when you come into God’s presence! There is only the Father’s “WELCOME HOME” and outstretched arms waiting for you. After all, it is a throne of GRACE! The Abbey wants to announce that “welcome home” to you!
Classes for Children
During Worship Service
(Kid’s Check In at table in foyer where a host will show you to class.
1st to 6th Grades enjoy worship with their families and then are dismissed to class.)
What Should I Expect?
Our services consist of lively and intimate, contemporary worship in a casual, family atmosphere. We share a 30 to 45 minute message making the timeless truths of Christianity both fresh and relevant to life today!
Kid's "Treasure" Ministry!
Our Sunday morning ministry to children includes: Nursery for ages infant to 36 months; Preschool class for 3 to 5 year-old’s; and Kid’s Church for first through sixth graders.
A Welcome Host can lead you to our nursery located in the west foyer of the building where a nursery minister will greet you and provide secure check-in for your infant or toddler. For older kids, our secure check-in station is located in the main foyer where a host will check your children into our secure system, then inform and direct you and your children to the proper class.
The nursery and preschool classes are open for the entire service. The 1st – 6th grade, Kid’s Church children, remain with parents to experience worship together and then are dismissed to class after worship.
All kids can be checked out after the service by their parent or guardian at their classroom door with their secure tag issued during check-in .
As you enter our campus, turn right onto the drive to our large lot in the front (east) side of the building where we have several reserved spots for guests. We would love you to feel comfortable using them. This lot will give you access to the main foyer where the welcome station and coffee will be waiting for you!
Casual Coffee Atmosphere
Did we mention coffee? We love coffee and serve it every Sunday morning (free of charge)! You can even take it with you into the auditorium! And don’t worry about having to dress up for church: Come as you feel comfortable! You will see a whole range of dress on a Sunday morning!
Getting to Know You
We host a brief “meet-and-greet” reception for first-time guests immediately after the service where our pastors and senior leaders would love to meet you and give you a small gift! We also have a welcome desk in the foyer manned by hosts who would love to answer any questions and help you feel comfortable in any way!
