Frequently Asked Questions

When & Where Does The Abbey Meet On Sundays?

We meet Sundays at 10:30 am at 10400 Jacksboro Highway in Fort Worth, TX 76135. That is half-way between Azle and Lake Worth right next to the Fort Worth Nature Center.

What Is Your Doctrine?

The best way to understand and learn about any community is to experience it on a relational level. We would like you to experience “who” we are more than just a list of statements on a piece of paper. We can give you a statement of faith that would include our emphasis on personal salvation, experiencing a Spirit-filled lifestyle, healing and operation of the “gifts of the Holy Spirit”, but we would rather you experience it by the life we live.

Is There A Dress Code?

We aren’t concerned about what you wear. God can touch your heart if you’re wearing jeans or a suit, so wear whatever is comfortable to you. Most people will be dressed smart casual. Be yourself – cowboy boots, heels, or flip flops.

How Long Are The Services On Sundays?

Our services last about an hour and a half. we start with about 25-30 minutes of praise and worship and share approximately a 40 minute message.

What Kind Of Music (Worship) Do You Have?

We have contemporary, upbeat music, with the words projected on screen for participation. Some people stand, some dance, some sit, some raise their hands, and some kneel at times. Feel free to worship as your heart leads you.

…And Your Children’s Program?

Our Kids are our Treasures! At The Abbey, kids aren’t seen as the “church of tomorrow…” they are the “church of today.” We have special nursery, preschool, and children’s ministry that your kids will love. There will be a check in station near the entrance and greeters to help you get set up. At this time children Ages Kindergarten – 6th grade are asked to stay with parents during worship. Then, following as apart of announcements, they will be dismissed with their designated workers to their classroom.
